The 'Overview' tab has general information on all levels of training.

The AAMET introduced accreditation for practitioners and trainers in 2014, and the Level 3 practitioner requirements have changed in line with this. One requirement is that in order to achieve the new 'accredited certified practitioner' status, you must train with someone holding the new 'Master Trainer' accreditation.  I achieved the AAMET Master Trainer accreditation in February 2014, and anyone attending a practitioner course with me can apply for accreditation without charge once they have completed all the requirements detailed below.  For more details, and to see the full training and accreditation document, please go to aamet.org

The EFT Level 3 course I offer is the first stage in becoming an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT practitioner with the AAMET (Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques).  You may wish to attend the course simply to learn more - if you do wish to become an advanced practitioner, you will need to complete further elements to be eligible.

Who can attend the Level 3 training?

If it is at least 6 months (changed from 1 yr, Jul 2016) since you attended Level 2, and any of the below describe you, then the Level 3 training is open to you:

You don't wish to practice professionally, but to gain more skills and insight for informal EFT with yourself, friends and family. If this is the case, you are welcome to attend whether or not you have completed Level 2 practitioner assessment.

You have attended Level 2, but have not yet completed the practitioner assessment procedure. You are welcome to attend the Level 3 training, but must successfully complete the Level 2 assessment before beginning the Level 3 assessment.

You have successfully completed the Level 2 practitioner assessment.

You are working as an EFT practitioner.

This level of training introduces further techniques and practice, so that you can bring greater skill and insight to your work with EFT. It covers the Level 3 material in the same practical manner as the Level 1 and Level 2 weekends, with exercises and demonstrations. There is also plenty of time for discussing your experiences and questions since completing Level 2.

EFT Level 3 Includes:

  • Review of Level 2, in particular the gentle techniques.
  • Protective distancing techniques for working with high intensity issues.
  • Finding the origins of issues
  • Finding and resolving internal conflict (aka reversal/self-sabotage/secondary gain.)
  • An introduction to supporting clients with serious illness.
  • Working with parts (aka sub-personalities/ego-states/inner child).
  • Working with disconnection.
  • Additional techniques to work with the emotional aspects of physical symptoms.
  • Surrogate EFT.
  • The use of practitioner intuition.
  • The role of love and forgiveness in healing.
  • Working with clients unable to access emotion, and other client difficulties.
  • Increased self-awareness in working with others.

(NB: Whilst we are learning techniques to work with distressing memories, I would like to repeat that this is, as previously noted, training and not therapy.  If you wish to work on deep or difficult personal issues that do not feel manageable on your own, I recommend that you consider working with an experienced practitioner - whether myself, or one of the many other excellent practitioners working in the UK.)

Advanced Practitioner certification requirements

Once you have completed the Level 3 course and received your certificate of attendance, and once you have successfully completed the practitioner assessment for Level 2, if you wish to become a certified accredited advanced practitioner you will be required to complete the following (in any order you like), within one year of attending the course:

A multiple-choice test.

The test is done online at the AAMET website, at your own convenience. It costs £15, payable direct to the AAMET.  You have three attempts to achieve the 80% pass mark, and all the information needed will be covered in your course manual.

A minimum of 50 sessions' practice (at least 45 mins per session), with a minimum of 20 different people.

The practice sessions can include the sessions submitted as case studies, and brief notes should be kept on the sessions not submitted as case studies.

A minimum of four case studies of working with EFT, min 1 and max 2 sessions in total to be submitted as a recording of the session.

One of the case studies should be over 3 sessions, and three of them should be over 2 sessions.  Each session should be a minimum of 1 hr long.

A minimum of one and a maximum of two sessions from the same or different case studies, must be submitted as a recording (preferably video, but audio is acceptable), with brief reflective notes in writing.

Once submitted, I will either approve the case studies, or I may ask for further case studies or ask some questions if further demonstration is required of your understanding of the techniques.  Don't worry, I'll make clear what I need, and get you through it!

6 Hours of Supervision, either group or one-to-one, or a combination of the two.

These 6 hours are specific to advanced training, and must be taken in addition to the yearly 6 hours you would undertake if you are already practicing. You do not need to undertake the supervision with myself, but it must be with someone accredited by the AAMET to offer supervision.  One free session is included included in your assessment fee, and I offer 5 further sessions at a discounted rate (£40/hr as of Jan 2016) for one-to-one supervision in person, by skype, or on the phone.   I also offer group supervision afternoons of 4 hours, at £50 per person (max 6 attendees), at least twice per year, and regular group supervision web sessions of 90 mins, at £15 per person (max 6 attendees).

A minimum of 4 personal sessions of EFT.

2-4 of these can be with fellow advanced-level students, from your course or other courses. It is highly recommended and beneficial (but not a requirement) that 2 of these should be with an advanced EFT practitioner.  If you wish to have personal sessions with me, your assessment fee includes a £20 discount on each of 2 sessions.  Brief notes should be kept on the 4 personal sessions.

Details of Assessment Fee

£300 (or £270 if paid in full within 1 month of attending the course)

The £300 can be paid in one instalment, or in 2 instalments of £150, or 4 instalments of £75, over the year after the course.

Includes, for 1 year from date of course:

  • Assessment and feedback on 9 to 12 sessions of case studies (allows for assessment of up to 3 extra sessions if some sessions do not pass)
  • Any feedback necessary on submissions of notes on personal sessions.
  • Any feedback necessary on submissions of notes on practice sessions.
  • 1 x 1 hour skype supervision session with Roushan
  • 20% discount on (optional) 5x 1hr supervision sessions with Roushan
  • 40% discount on (optional) 2 x personal sessions with Roushan

Does not include:

  • Fee (£50) for group supervision afternoon, or fee (£15 per session) for group web supervision sessions.
  • Fee (£40/hr with discount) for 5 optional further sessions of 1-1 supervision after the free hour.
  • Fee (£30/hr with discount) for 1-2 optional personal sessions with Roushan.
  • Fee to AAMET for exam.
  • AAMET Advanced Pracitioner membership fee (same as Practitioner membership fee).

If you do not complete requirements within 1 year of attending the course, but still wish to complete practitioner assessment, you will be asked to attend the course again (there is currently no charge for repeating the course), and there will be a supplementary fee for late submission of case studies.

Once you have completed the above requirements, I will send you a practitioner certificate.  You are then free to upgrade your membership from practitioner to advanced practitioner membership (as at May 2016, £30 per year, same fee as practitioner membership), and the AAMET will send you an advanced accreditation certificate.  You are not obliged to join the AAMET, but cannot refer to yourself as an AAMET practitioner or receive an accreditation certificate if you do not.

The AAMET can also guide you to professional insurance if you do not have arrangements elsewhere.  Insurance is not optional if you want to charge the public for your services.

If you choose to register with the AAMET, you are required to adhere to a code of conduct and ethics.  There are also yearly requirements for registered practitioners in continuing professional development and supervision, which can be found, again, at the AAMET website, aamet.org. If you have questions about any of this, please contact myself or the AAMET.

I am an Accredited Certified Master Trainer with the AAMET, the lead body for EFT training and registration in the UK and Europe, and with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) in the UK.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
